Meeting Camden
Last Monday we had our new friend, Cam, and his mommy, Jane, over for lunch. A mutual friend connected us because Cam is a little person, just like Betsy Grace. We had the best time with them and it was wonderful for Jane and I to talk and share about our journeys thus far, along with thoughts and anticipation of the future. Betsy Grace loved Cam, she was beat after their visit...she took the longest nap! We look forward to getting together with them more, I can just tell that Cam and BG will have a very special friendship!!!

One, Two, Three...CHEESE!
A couple of weeks ago, we had the incredibly talented and beautiful, Lauren Jackson take pictures of our little family. We had a blast during the shoot, Betsy Grace is no stranger to the camera...as you all know :) Lauren made it so easy to just be ourselves and Betsy Grace was captivated by her and her camera. Here are a couple of photos from our session, I love each and every one of them. I couldn't post them all, so to see more log on to:

Father's Day
Happy Father's Day to all of the wonderful men in our lives!
To Mac, thank you so much for all of your love and provision, you do so much for Betsy Grace and I, you make us complete! She lights up when you are around, I have no doubt that she loves her mama, but she is a daddy's girl, for sure. Thank you for being the best daddy, I couldn't imagine wanting more for my baby! We love you!
To my dad, Poppy, thank you for being such a wonderful father to me, a thoughtful father in law to Mac, and a loving granddaddy to BG. We love every minute that we get to spend with you and Betsy Grace especially loves to rub your scratchy face :)
To Mac's dad, Brun, thank you for being not only Mac's dad but his best friend as well. I know he is such an amazing husband and father because he grew up watching you. You love me like I am your own and that warms my heart more than you can imagine. You are a precious granddaddy to Betsy Grace and her smile reminds me of you!
To Sandy, San San, you came into our lives later in the game but we can't imagine it without you! Your love touches us more than we could ever express! We love you!
Here is Betsy Grace giving her card to her daddy, she made it all by herself :)
Giving her best effort to read it to him :)
Perched on Brun's lap with the tambourine, a favorite at Brun and Ellie's
Here's Poppy and Uncle Brian...this time next year, Brian will be celebrating Father's Day!!!
We got together with B and San San the next night and didn't take any pics, sorry San San!

I heart Philip
This is Philip, he is my buddy... I think I am in love. He is so sweet to me and thinks everything that I do is hilarious. I try to tell him that I like him by batting my eyes and smiling really pretty. Our mommies are friends, so we get to see each other a lot....I heart Philip!
Dinner date...too young to share a milkshake, so why not share a sippy cup.
Peek a Boo!
Betsy Grace has a new game...peek a boo! After months of watching us, she now plays it by herself...so smart! She gets our attention, draws the curtain to hide, waits for the big reveal, and then shows her face, all while belly laughing. She never tires of this game and we love watching :)

10 Months and Beyond
I am a little tardy reporting what's new since Betsy Grace turned 10 months, but better late than never. I feel like each time a new day rolls around, there is a new discovery...her little mind and body are AMAZING! She babbles constantly, lots of Dada and Baba...still no Mama but we are working on it.
She has a very interpretive crawl which consists of crawling 3 steps, rolling, scooting and then sitting up...very unconventional but the child gets where she wants to go. Favorite spots are behind the curtains, in between her toys baskets, under the bed, nose pressed up against the french doors, anything thats tight and cozy.
She still only has 2 bottom teeth but the child eats EVERYTHING, she chews with her gums and has not met a food she did not love. I am trying to get her to take the sippy cup but my efforts are failing at the moment, I know she'll get it eventually...right!?!?
We had yet another ear infection this month but the antibiotics did their job and all ears appear to be clear. It didn't affect her mood or sleep but she was really tugging on those ears, so I just knew. We did learn at the doctors appointment that our little bug tips the scale at 17 lbs. We've come a long way since 4 lbs at birth!!!
Along with crawling/rolling/scooting, she is now standing up. She stands in her crib, up on her toys baskets, on the exersaucer...everywhere! You can tell that she is so proud of herself, it's sooo cute!
Betsy Grace has also become a professional imitator, nothing goes unnoticed and even if she can't do or say exactly what we are doing/saying, their is a valiant effort on her part. She is taking it all in, we better what out!
The two new tricks that we can't get enough of are her dancing skills and her waving and saying "ba-ba" (meaning bye-bye). All we have to do is say "Wiggle Wiggle" and she starts bouncing, up and down, side to side, all while nodding her head, HILARIOUS! Anytime she hears music, she stops what she is doing and that little body starts jiving to the beat :) The bye-bye trick is a favorite because it is her first action combined with word achievement, plus we are suckers for anything that she does :)
We got a little baby pool for her and she loves the water, it's a nice break in these hot summer days. Stay tuned for pics :)
So that's a peek into our little world...we are loving each and everyday!

Doggie Love
These are my doggies and I love them. Their names are Vince and Sadie and they are best friends. I giggle at the sight of them and their licks tickle my toes. My mom says that they used to get a lot more attention before I was born but one day, very soon, I will be the one that plays with them and entertains them. I can't wait to get a hold of their tails and ride on their backs. I love my doggies!
Hanging out in the front yard, waiting to play fetch.
This is Vince, he is getting old but is sweet as ever.
He belonged to my dad before my mommy did :)
This is Sadie, she joined the family after mommy and daddy got married. She changed Vince's life, for the good and bad...mostly good :) She loves to love and she pays much more attention to me than Vince.
