Betsy Grace's First Snow Day!

The pups
My little snowflake :)
Photo Shoot with the Bumbo, wouldn't dare put that little bottom down on the cold snow!
A little cold and tired of mommy taking pictures
We didn't get much snow but it was enough to keep us in for the day, all cozy and warm!
Happy Snow Day!

BG's room...this one's for you Ellen :)

What a Chunk!

Giving Daddy kisses, or licks :)
Look at those legs, who knew someone so little could have a rolls on their knee caps and mid calf...don't you just want to eat her up! Gotta love the socks :)

6 Months old!

Betsy Grace is 6 months old, my how time flies! This month has been full of new adventures, her first plane ride to Chattanooga, introduction to food, first really high fever...we are taking it all in stride :)

To start, she could not have been better on the plane, she slept, ate, played and never cried. It was a blessing that the trip was only an hour, we can do anything for an hour, but I was so pleasantly surprised that she was so perfect. God was definitely playing his part :) We had the best time visiting the Everett's and we did as much as we possibly could with kiddos in tow. It was just fun to be with Mo and see their new home! I think that Mac really missed us, I can't imagine how quiet the house was :)

I am gradually introducing her to foods, so far she loves carrots and sweet potatoes and has a very adverse reaction to bananas...just like her mommy! We were struck with yet another cold this past week but she remains a happy girl despite the runny nose and brutal cough.

We had our 6 month checkup and she is right where she needs to be with her social and motor skills! Dr. Swetenburg has some concerns about her growth charts, mainly her height, so we are going to see a pediatric endicrinologist on Monday. Will keep you posted but in the meantime, pray for our sweet pea!

Adventures with Rice Cereal

FINALLY, after 1 month of trying, each and every day, we learned how to eat rice cereal. I can't imagine that it tastes good but it's more about the practice of eating with a spoon, etc. and before today, she wanted nothing to do with it. But then it clicked, a light bulb went off and she scrumpted it down. I guess the sweet pea finally got hungry for something more that a bottle. She not only ate it but she got aggressive and it was hilarious! This was my first glimpse into "No mom, I can do it by myself"...does it really have to begin this soon! Just when I think she can't get much cuter, another day rolls around :)
She is loving her exersaucer!
One bite into the mess

Wasn't before long that she took over the spoon.
Gotta love an independent girl
She is already learning how to hold a spoon correctly
I AM a big girl!
Look at the mouth, what a mess!

The aftermath, full and happy...and clean, to mommy's desire :)
So proud and Sophie, her favorite giraffe friend, of course makes the photo
Had just about enough of the camera and the activity...next!

Bedtime ritual

Every night, before bed, we take a bath, have a bottle and then read books. She is so stinkin cute now because she is so interactive. Daddy has caught her in the act, flippin through the pages, talking up a storm...so much for a wind down :) I guess she is taking after her English Major mama...haha!

And just a side note...did we ever think that this baby who started out at 4 pounds would have such large, chubby, eatable cheeks!?!? We love every piece of chunk and roll that surrounds her, I honestly can't get enough!
