Happy Birthday B!

Monday was B's birthday and we had the family over to our house for dinner to celebrate. Betsy Grace loves her B and she had such a grand time helping open cards and presents.

She wanted to be right in the middle of all the action and of course, the center of attention :)
B,
We love you so much and hope you had the happiest and best birthday. I would not be the person that I am without you. You are a source of support, strength and inspiration to me each and everyday and I am so blessed to have you as my mom and for you to be the grandmother of my babies. Thank you for all that you do for all of us!
Love Always,
Libby, Mac, Betsy Grace and Sister

Queens Easter Egg Hunt

This past weekend, Ellie, Brun and Daddy took Betsy Grace to an Easter Egg Hunt at Queens College and they had a blast. I was busy at a beautiful baby shower for my friend Sarah but have loved looking at the pictures. This was her 3rd Hunt of the season and now she is quite a pro. The weather was not great but fun was had by all!

She LOVES balloons and is apparently not scared by clowns, the child is fearless.

Loved the Easter Bunny too, Ellie said that every other child was screaming,
so glad that mine can find humor everywhere :)

So excited to be collecting eggs

And she thinks the outside is tasty...lucky for mommy, she has no clue that they contain candy. Easter candy is really not helping my pregnancy sugar addiction!

Silly Brun in bunny ears :)

And she found a fountain, BG has an insane affection for any kind of water
WOW

A little mesmerized... a little sleepy, what a fun day!

Daddy's "Stick Patrol"

We spend a LOT of hours outside, despite the yucky pollen
and the way that it makes us cough. Miss priss is such a girl in many ways but she also
doesn't mind getting dirty and pitching in with yard work.

With all of the rain and wind that we have had recently, we are constantly cleaning
up debris and BG loves helping her daddy pick up sticks.

Her favorite part is taking them to the back wall and throwing them to the dogs.
This honestly could provide us with hours of entertainment, her belly laugh when the dogs catch her sticks is to die for!

Sweet Cousins

Betsy Grace and her cousin, Isabelle, absolutely love each other and I am obsessed with this picture! BG has her hand on Izzie's back while they talk to Ellie through the glass...
love, love, love

These girls not only love each other but they love their Ellie!!!

1st Easter Egg Hunt of the Season

I am a little behind on my posts, forgive me...but we have been very busy over the last couple of weeks and the pics are too cute not to share :) Betsy Grace's best friend, Margaret Blount, turned 2 at the beginning of the month and she hosted an Easter Egg hunt to celebrate her big day. This was the 2nd annual, last year BG was a big grump, but this year we had a new attitude and it was so much fun!

She found a purple ball to match her purple outfit

BG and the birthday girl, playing with the very cool bubble machine

Hunting eggs

Chowing down on a cupcake...she had not one, not two but three and the 3rd
was one that she found on the ground when we were not watching, oh well :)

First "Official" Haircut

We took little miss to get her haircut this week and it was her first official time in the "chair" :) I have cut the back of her hair about 4 times but the sides were starting to look like they needed some professional attention. Plus, I wouldn't dare go near her ears with scissors!!!
Anyway, she was a brave little girl but the pictures don't lie, she didn't LOVE her first experience. No tears were shed but we came pretty close.

Before

During

After

So, it wasn't that bad...the girl who cut her hair talked to her the whole time and told her how pretty she was :) There were goldfish and animal crackers to snack on while getting your "do" done and a screen in front of the chair that played cartoons. But the best is at the end, you get a prize and Betsy Grace got a really cool ball!!! "WHOA"(as BG would say)
After that, we went shoe shopping :) Can you tell that I am loving this "girls" life?!?!

Little Sister Update

So we have hit the 6 month mark in my pregnancy and eventhough life is crazy busy, we are finding a lot of time to talk about and get excited for little sister! She now has a name (which was way more difficult to decide upon than #1) but it remains a secret, so we call her "sister". Sister is growing and moving up a storm and because of my IUGR (in-uterine growth restriction) with Betsy Grace, we are very closely monitored. I see my regular OB every 2 weeks now and a fetal specialist every 4 weeks and get to have an ultrasound every month, which always makes you feel good to see your little one. Everything is looking good to date, so we are praising God! Betsy Grace doesn't really have a clue about whats on the way. She loves her babies and we spend many hours of the day playing "mommy" but she pays no attention to my growing belly, nor the mention of a little sister :) Someone told me that once you start on the baby's room, big sister starts to get the picture but that project has not yet begun. April is our designated month to get ready, we go to the beach in May for a week and it would be so nice to have everything done by then. Might be wishful thinking but that's our goal :) I feel great and really have no complaints, which I am thankful for because life is nonstop with Betsy Grace...I do get tired at night but then again, I felt the same before pregnancy! I crave candy and goldfish but also find ways to sneak in my healthy foods. I am still doing my Athletic Conditioning class at the Y, with modifications, and I hope to continue until I am told otherwise:) We have a very busy Spring, so hopefully I will stay in this good zone for a couple more months. So that's our update, thank you for your shared excitement and prayers! We can't wait for you to meet Sister, whether in person or on the blog, in July!!!
xoxo
