These Days...

we are spending most of our time outside and it's divine! Between the walks with friends, glorious runs and our new swing that daddy put up, we are in heaven! It is so nice to open up the french doors and windows in the afternoon, the fresh air revives our souls...plus, the outdoors completely captivates Betsy Grace! We can't get enough :) We have been trying to walk everywhere... the grocery store, the bank, etc. We live so close to everything, this time of year, I feel guilty about getting in the car just to run up the street. Betsy Grace is not yet saying words but the girl does a lot of chattering and babbling, I would love to know what's going on in that little mind of hers.
Hope everyone can get out this week and enjoy the warmth of the sun...spring has sprung!!!

We've got a tooth!

That's right, little miss Betsy Grace has her first tooth and one that is shortly following. As exciting as this milestone is, the sweet pea is having a tough time with the pain and her mommy is having an equally tough time with the lack of sleep :) After 4 months of teething, I am so glad that they have finally broken through! I tried to get a pic of the toothers but that little tongue kept covering them up. I know this is just the beginning but we love celebrating these little milestones!

8 months old!!!

Today my baby is 8 months old, I can't believe it! Time is going by so fast and I just want to
S-L-O-W down, these beautiful days are so precious!!!
Betsy Grace is so busy, although she in not yet crawling, I expect it any day, the girl is dying to be on the move...she just needs to figure out the mechanics of it all :) She is full of life and keeps me busy for sure! We love our little sweet potato and are so thankful for all the love and joy that she provides!

Here is her newest lovely feature, the lizard tongue! She has been vigorously observing the dogs and I think has been trying to imitate the way they eat, hilarious!
As I was preparing to cook one night, she decides that she would rather eat the utensils than have me use them.... why would I be surprised, nothing graces her touch without going in her mouth!
One was just not enough, three is much better!
Jenny and CL came over to visit and brought their new baby, Willis. BG loves dogs and they were so sweet together. Willis is such a cutie pie!

Holding Court

We had such a wonderful day today! It began with a huge dread in the anticipation of having to put my baby under to complete her CT Scan but God was soooo good and things could not have gone more perfectly. Everything was flawless...we woke her up, put her in the car, she laughed all the way into the hospital, we only had to wait 20 minutes vs. an hour, and then above all, she lay perfectly still during the scan and we were good to go! They told me not to feed her 6 hours prior because she would probably not cooperate and they would have to administer anesthesia...our little miss sure showed them! So everything that occurred after our appointment this morning was icing on the cake. We exchanged a million hugs, gave a thousand kisses and were able to embrace the day with our whole hearts. The weather was mild, so we got in a long run, which pleased us both...Betsy Grace is such an outside girl. We both can't get enough after this long, cold winter :)

And here is a picture of her with her new fascination, Vince and Sadie, her puppies....she thinks they are hilarious and she is absolutely mesmerized by them, its the cutest thing! We love to be out on the deck, it looks like she is getting pretty good at holding court :)

Sweet Prayer

I came across this prayer the other day and just loved it. It is dear to my heart because of our sweet Betsy Grace but knowing that we all are unique, I thought I should share it :)

Dear Lord, You have created each of us in Your image, and also uniquely us. Help us to embrace who You made us to be, to see clearly the strengths You've given us, and rejoice in them. Use our individual weaknesses to turn us to You each and every day, giving us reason to cling to Your promises. Allow us opportunities to use our talents for Your glory and the good of the people around us, both those who are part of Your body and those who do not yet know You. Let our uniqueness be a light for You in the darkness. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

xoxo, libby

Love our Visitors

Betsy Grace loves her Poppy John! He travels quite a bit but makes a date to see us at least once a week. BG even gets to stay up late to spend extra time with him :)

Van came to visit and we had so much fun, he is the most precious little bud, look at those eyes!

I don't think that Van loves the camera as much as Betsy Grace, typical boy:)

Two little bugs, cute as can be!

We love you Van! Come back and play soon!
