Our "New Normal"

Last Thursday, our life changed, our world became jumbled and our stomachs felt as though they had been thrown to the wolves. It was last Thursday that we learned that our precious baby girl had a genetic growth disorder. Something that she had been born with, nothing passed down, a new creation in her perfect little body. One might think that we were devestated but Mac and I found ourselves at the other side of the spectrum, thanking God and feeling so blessed. Many of you know that Betsy Grace was a miracle from the start, so the fact that we have her to love and hold is beyond belief. She is the product of so much love, faith and hope and that's why we are so grateful for her, complete and beautiful, just as God intended. You see, our life changed because we are living each day, from here on out, with complete purpose and beautiful love, just as God intended. Yes, things are different from the way that we envisioned 8 days ago, but they are so much better. They are in fact our "new normal" and we have vowed before God, to each other and over Betsy Grace that not one day will go by without great thanks for the renewed life we are living. We know that our challenges will come, but not without great reward and that makes us soooo excited! Our "new normal" will teach us so much and will soon just become the pattern of our life. This past week has been filled with many questions and doubts but they are slowly getting smaller as the moments of strength and courage rise. Mac and I know that we can do this and we know that with God and our unbelievable community of prayer warriors and support, Betsy Grace's life will be an amazing journey.
Thank you all for your love and prayers, as you can see, she hasn't changed one bit with this diagnosis. The joy on her face is such a reminder of God's grace...guess we named her perfectly :)

Dancing with Daddy before a Saturday morning run
We learned today that the Johnny Jump Up is not good for her support but these were taken before the new knowledge and were too cute not to post :)

Anyone notice the Sadie cameo in the back? Luckily this toy is still ok to use, mommy might have an issue with the Dr. if she were told otherwise. The exersaucer is a favorite!
