We had an action packed weekend, full of tons of fun! It included 2 birthday parties, one for Mac and one for Parker, a big family dinner, playtime at the playground and a Pinkberry date with Margaret Blount...whew! It felt like spring had arrived this weekend and we hope it's here to stay!

Gonna be a house full of GIRLS!!!
Betsy Grace is SO EXCITED to say that she is going to have a little SISTER!!!!
We found out on Monday and are so thrilled...2 little girlies, we can hardly wait!!! The relationship that sisters share is so special, I can only hope that Betsy Grace and her sister are as close as Louise and I. My sister is not just my sibling but my best friend, my confidant, my honest opinion and I can't imagine life without her. My mom, who has 2 brothers, always told us how lucky we were to have each other and it's so true. Even when we are at odds, our love for each other is stronger than anything...it's unconditional and so precious.
I am so thankful that my girls will have the special gift of each other :)

Pretty Weather=PLAYGROUND!
The weather this weekend has been gorgeous, still a little chilly but nothing was stopping us from getting outside and soaking it up!
Happy early Valentines!

Isabelle's Baptism (from the view of a very busy little girl)
Today was Isabelle's baptism and it was such a special day for our family. The service was wonderful, she could not have been better throughout the entire hour-plus and she looked so beautiful in her family gown. We were all boasting with pride to call her one of our own :)
Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures of her or her parents because we were busy following our little mover and shaker. Therefore, these pictures are not full of beautiful poses but more reflect the good time that Betsy Grace had at the luncheon following the church service. Pardon the blurriness, we forgot our good camera and used one with not as quick shutter speed...very key these days :)
She had to explore and touch EVERYTHING in Cindy and Norfleet's home.
This was the only time she sat still, pit stop for lunch :)
Sweet Isabelle is wondering why Betsy Grace won't stay still and play...
but nope, she's just passing through
And then WOW, an open door...better grab me fast!
Then it was Daddy's turn to chase the wild child and mommy got some time to visit.
Here is Isabelle with her sweet God mother, Lori
I was a couple of seconds late to capture the cake "untouched" but it really doesn't matter,
it was STUNNING and delicious too!
Isabelle, we love you and are so proud of you! We promise to love you, protect you and encourage you everyday...we can't wait to watch you flourish into the beautiful person we already know you to be!
Love,
Libby, Mac and Betsy Grace

The picture says it all....
I just had to share this picture that I just received from a friend because it soooo sums up the first trimester of pregnancy with #2.
So here we are up in NYC for a long weekend and friend's wedding, and despite the fact that I am only 5 weeks pregnant, I am perpetually nauseated, throwing up and fall on my face tired. But I am trying to make the most of our trip and the wedding reception (can you tell by the forced look on my face) and as usual, Mac is having a BIG time :) I so wanted to tell everyone there that I was expecting so that they would understand why I was such a dud
but instead I put on my best "happy face" :)
Story of my life in November and December...the picture says it all :)

Best Seat in the House
One might say that there is nothing special about a high chair but for Betsy Grace, it is the coveted seat in the house :) You see, for us, it's new...up until Christmas when we received this glorious gift, she was still eating in her bumbo. That's one of the many nice things about having a small kiddo, we don't outgrow gear very fast :) But I knew it was time to graduate and so Brun and Ellie gave it to us for Christmas. And when I say that she loves it, I mean she loves it! Not because that's where she gets to eat (there is not much interest in the eating department these days) but because she gets to be up high and see everything that's going on, plus I am not hovering over her like I did in the bumbo for fear that she would fall off the counter. Even if she is not hungry, she wants to get up there and just sit :) I love that she is so overcome with joy over small things, it serves as a great reminder to me everyday!
